At the end of the summer of 2025, members of Plazara and Garabide traveled to the Rif, where they met with young people from the Amazigh community to reflect on language revitalization. The aim of the gathering was to bring together activists from both the diaspora and local communities, to build networks, and to collectively think about the future of the language.<\/p>\n

The main challenges identified in the discussions were a lack of resources and pressure from the government. However, participants emphasized that even in difficult circumstances, effective initiatives can be created. Their challenge is to become active agents of their own future.<\/p>\n

They also highlighted the crucial role of the diaspora, as migration has a significant impact on the transmission of the language.<\/p>\n

At the same time, a cultural revival is taking place through music, cinema, and the reinterpretation of traditions, both in the Rif and within the diaspora.<\/p>\n

The main conclusion: exchanges and collaboration strengthen the struggles for language revitalization\u2014both there and here.<\/p>\n
